A graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and its law school, Rob has over 40 years of civil litigation experience in North Carolina's state and federal courts. He has tried approximately 30 jury trials to verdict, serving as first chair or sole counsel in about 20 of those trials, with clients' verdicts ranging up to $40 million. Rated AV Preeminent.

As a mediator in court-ordered settlement conferences, Rob's mediation style is facilitative (i.e., not evaluative), as required by law. The job in those cases is to assist the attorneys' negotiations, facilitate productive communications, and to keep the conversation going as long as it is productive, but no longer.
